Art Live

I’m participating in Art Live at Canada House Gallery in Banff on August 17, from 10am to 4 pm. If you’re in or around Banff at that time, please drop in to watch me paint, and to chat about art.

My hope is that I’ll be able to simulate a day in my studio, but instead of listening to podcasts, I’ll be talking and listening to people. Demystifying the painting process helps others see what the artist sees when making an artwork.

The different approaches of the artists will be revealed in the working methods of each. Painting, whatever the subject or style, is a kind of thinking in paint, the questions about experience made tangible. So, each artist realizes their own world and invites others to share in it.
